hey! i just love this pattern!
i started a pair last night, but i got confused between the toe and the foot.
i cast on 13, and followed instructions until i got to the foot. i did not have enough cast on stitches (13) to divide the stitches onto the 4 dpn (26).
what did i do wrong? thanks!!!

i really want to knit these, as i have several balls of baby cashmerino in my basket and several baby presents to make and i think is this cuter than any other baby bootie pattern i have seen!

did you unzip the provisional cast on?
this website: http://www.eunnyjang.com/knit/2006/03/majoring_in_lace_part_iv.html
has really great pictures that show how to do it, just scroll down to invisible crochet cast on 1
hope that helps!

I was doing fine until I got to the top. The gutter is rows deep and picking up 1 stitch doesn't look like it will finish the gap.

This was the first time I've tried anything sock-like, and I found this tutorial on wrapped and double-wrapped stitches really helpful to knit this pattern....
